◆ Ecosystem Conservation Techniques
Formerly a professor at the Department of Earth and Life Science of the University of Taipei, Professor Chen Chien-Chih built the department from the ground up. The topics of his research included animal management, the forest environment, plant species research, and ecosystem analysis. He also concentrated on land use and resource preservation. In relation to these subjects, he took part in numerous international conferences, wrote books, published articles, and received honors. His study findings have been implemented into Taiwan's policies, considerably benefiting Taiwan's Earth Environment and Biological Resources. He also performed research and developed technology to better Taiwan's environment and ecology.
He created a set of ecological protection technologies while he was a professor at the University of Taipei in order to safeguard ecosystems and stop environmental pollution. This technology's main goal is to prevent environmental contamination naturally rather than by using chemicals or other man-made ways to alter the environment. He taught people to employ biotechnology, ecological engineering, and humanistic principles to conserve the environment and land resources. He also tried to integrate natural resource conservation with ecological environment management. His "biological bacterial culture system," for instance, successfully prevents heavy metal pollution and safeguards soil and water supplies. In order to successfully lessen the influence on the environment, he also advocates growing plants to manage watershed environments, limit pollutant emissions, and naturally eliminate pollutants. He also employs simulation techniques to establish a complete environmental protection system.
We are amazed by Professor Chen. He has made so many contributions to protecting the environment of Taiwan.
and he showed us how to apply his conservation techniques
to build up an animal-friendly home for all species.
