◆ Action Speaks Louder than Words
“Action speaks louder than words”is Dr. Lin’s motto. He believes once he has a goal, he should just do it. With that will power, he founded X5 Charity Foundation, and it helps him overcome all the challenges once faced.
◆ Real Happiness Comes from Helping Others
I founded the foundation 2 years ago, and I haven’t thought of the idea of giving it up yet because I know that the foundation gives me a lot of power. My job is helping people deliver babies, and attend to their needs. I do the same thing every day, so sometimes I feel tired too. But the foundation lets me see things in a different perspective . A while ago I left for three days and went to Hualien and Taitung to do some public welfare activities. Kids there looked very happy because of my help in the past. I definitely felt a sense of accomplishment: the things you do are helping many people. It always makes me feel happy when I go back. So I haven’t thought of giving up. (Dr. Lin nods his head)

◆ Giving Back to Society
“Taking from the community, giving back to society” is the goal of the foundation, which allows me to assist people in society who wish to be helped.
