We designed a park with a certain target group of
people and a purpose. Our target is teenagers and
children to relax or exercise. We wanted to choose them
because we think it will be a good place to go if a mother
or father tells the teenage siblings to babysit smaller
children, the teenagers can come here relax while the
smaller children exercise. Of course the teenagers can
also exercise.
The first facilities we design is the rock climbing wall.
Rock climbing is for both teenagers and children, and it
is great exercise. They can climb on the harder wall or
the easier one. If you don't want to climb then you can
sit beside it and watch others climb. The second facility
we design is a swimming pool. You can swim, ride a
water slide, or get some balls to exercise and play games
with. Swimming can make you stronger, this is very safe
because we will have lines to not let swimmers bump into
each other. The third facility we designed is like a 7-11,
where you can buy food, drinks, or some toys. If children
get tired from playing too much, they can go there to
relax, drink, or eat a snack. The last facility is a pond for
relaxing. You can watch fish, ducks, plants, or frogs, and
if you fall down you won't drown or get hurt because the
pond isn't deep and there aren’t any dangerous things.
The whole park is fun, safe, and healthy to use
because these facilities are for exercise. By exercising,
you can get healthier, and there are many things to help
protect you like soft floors and walls. We hope you have a
great time in our park!
A Park for Pets

The target people I chose for my park is dogs or other
animals to exercise because many people have pets, but
their homes are too small, so they have no place to play or
exercise. So I designed the park for them. It’s also good for
owners who just have one pet so they can make friends.
My park has a big maze for dogs and the owners. Inside
you need to walk to the end of the maze. If you don't know
where to go inside, it will have a button that will tell you where
to go or you can see the map. Next is a running track where
dogs can exercise with their owner. If they get tired after using
the running track there will be chairs and a bathroom. Outside
the bathroom will be a vending machine with drinks and
water. The chairs can let the dogs and their owners relax. Our
park will also have a big playground especially made for dogs
and other pets. The slides there are very safe, because they
are not too high or long. If the pets don’t like that
kind of playground, there is a vending machine of
toys for the dogs or pets like balls and chew toys.
Finally, our park will have plastic bags to clean up
after the dogs.
If pet owners’ homes are too small and
they have no space for their pets to play and
exercise, they can go to our park. It is the best
place for pet owners and their pets.
Disability-Friendly Park

Do you know what it's like to have a disability? Imagine
if you could only walk on one leg, or were always in a
wheelchair. Some people need wheelchairs to move, and
it's really hard to keep stable and balanced. It's not fair
that some people can't go to parks because they have
disabilities and can't do what others can. There are even
some pet animals, like cats and dogs, that need these
things. So that's why for this project, we wanted to design a
park just for disabled people and pets.
In the park, we wanted to design really unique facilities
that they can play with. We named the first one” Merry-
Wheel-Round”. It basically has a tentlike shelter that rotates
and spins on a bottom base. But instead of ponies, we are
placing wheelchairs of all sizes for people with disabilities
and little wheelchairs that come with cushions for pets with
disabilities. You can sit on it then lock the chair on the base
so we can start it up. You can play on it and have fun while
also being safe. The second facility is called "Press and
Step”. There is a floor divided into six squares for someone
to stand on, and a smaller game board with the same shape
for someone to use their hands on. When the game starts,
one square will light up. Two players try to step on or press
the lit square. Whoever does it first gets a point. Disabled
people can use the hand board and others can use the foot
board. That way everyone can play and train themselves
and exercise.
This park will attract people or pets with disabilities
because it's really safe for them and also really unique and
creative. Maybe when they actually come, they will finally
feel like they belong and don't feel left out anymore!
Beautiful Relationship Park

In our park, we want to attract the people who want to
have stronger relationship or who want to meet together
and have a good time. If you don't meet your friends often,
you won't have any relationships. So if you go to our park
you can build stronger relationships.
We want to introduce three things in our park. First,
we want to introduce a food stand for people who want
to buy food. It sells ice cream, cookies, drinks and other
small snacks. People can eat, chat, and relax. Second, the
fountain. You can watch the view with friends and family
and sit on a chair to relax! Third, the heart mirror. The heart
mirror is for people who want to take pictures. All of these
things help people build relationships. The food stand can
let them share yummy food together. The fountain is for
people to watch a view together or take pictures together.
Last, the heart mirror is a great place to record wonderful
memories or take pictures with the people you like.
I think our park is the best choice for all kinds of people.
Other parks just have facilities for children to play but in
our park we provide many things for people to do together.
These things can help people build stronger relationships.
