Do they have friends? How is group work going? These questions are all part of wanting to know how your child is doing at school. We encourage families to reach out whenever something is on their mind.

A Peek Inside the Classroom

Sometimes, a child comes home and says, “We did something really interesting today!” You smile, but later you may wonder what happened in class. The E-communication book offers a little window into your child’s school day, where CETs and FETs share homework, learning progress, and other updates. You might find the week’s homework or a Friday weekly report that gives you a glimpse of how your child is learning and participating in class. Through ID Review, you can also see their work in projects and Achieve Writing. You can follow the process behind their projects and see how their ideas grow. Every month, the English Village Newsletter shares themes and activities such as shopping for stationery or learning about currencies, showing how students use English naturally in their daily lives. When exams are coming up, the exam announcements share the exam scope and study guides for preparing at home. The KCFS Bulletin provides guidance as students work on their reports and helps parents understand their learning. Whenever you have a question or simply want to know a little more, you can also leave a message through the platform. More Ways to Stay in Touch

Sometimes, a quick message is all you need. For example, if your child needs to take a sudden leave of absence, you have a quick question about homework, or there is an urgent matter you need to let the teacher know about, LINE@ provides a direct way to connect with us. You can find the LINE@ group QR code in the Welcome Letter in the E-communication book. Some questions need more time. For example, you may wonder, “How is my child getting along with classmates?” or have concerns about your child’s participation or relationships at school. A phone call gives parents and teachers the space to talk about learning, participation, friendships, or something noticed at home. When a conversation would be better face to face, families are also welcome to arrange an in-person meeting at school.
