Mrs. H. Dollenberg
It is really happening! What you have dreamed of for many years is finally happening! You are actually graduating from Elementary School. To all of you, finishing Elementary School is just the beginning of the next step, Junior High School. Completing Grade 6 successfully is just the first of many great accomplishments that I hope you will achieve in your life. You must realize that this is just the beginning of the rest of your lives.
South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu wrote, ‘You are a very special person, become what you are.’ These words encourage you, the class of 2010, to recognize the goodness and potential in each one of you and to excel in Junior High School.
It has been said that ‘To know where you are going, one must remember where you have been.’ You, the Class of 2010, will start a new chapter, moving towards new endeavors and taking on greater challenges. Most of you have been at Kang Chiao Bilingual School for more than a year and many of you since Preschool. You have learned so many life and social skills from your teachers throughout these years and these building blocks remain to help you next year (and during the years to follow). Some of you will continue to go to our Junior High School but some of you will leave to study elsewhere. But wherever you go, Go For It. You have nothing to lose.
On behalf of the Grade 6 teachers, I would like to wish you everything of the very best as you embark upon Junior High School. We as teachers have witnessed your growth this year and you became more independent and more mature in so many ways. Remember that you are all winners! Winners Never Quit! And quitters never win. Good luck for Junior High School!
